The
Illinois CPA Society
(ICPAS), founded in 1903, is the fourth largest state CPA society in
the nation with over 22,000 CPA and Affiliate members. It is the
only professional organization that represents the CPA designation
in Illinois. The Illinois CPA Society provides members with access
to cutting edge educational programs and a wide array of
informational resources, services, and benefits targeted
specifically for CPAs and affiliated professionals.

For CPAs and financial
managers working in nonprofit organizations, membership with the
Illinois CPA Society provides the opportunity for you to be
connected with information regarding nonprofit accounting, network
with other nonprofit financial managers and CPA practitioners, and
participate in a range of educational programs on nonprofit
accounting.

Conferences and Events – Topics vary, including nonprofit
accounting. Receive member discounts on the annual nonprofit
conference to be held this year on November 18, 2004 and the
nonprofit tax workshop on the subject of nonprofit 990s scheduled
for September 23, 2004.

Special Interest Group Meetings – Nonprofit Special Interest
Group meeting provide opportunities to exchange ideas and current
information with your peers on the latest issues facing nonprofits.

NETWORK – The NETWORK is a group of Illinois CPA Society members
who have agreed to share their time and expertise with fellow
Society members. Members with expertise in nonprofits are available
for quick, informal assistance on technical, operational,
industry-specific, or practice management questions.

Information & Research Center – The Society’s
Information & Research Center has numerous resources related to nonprofit accounting. As a
member you can call or e-mail the Information & Research Center with research questions to
find information and stay on top of your latest business challenges.
